MEALTIME MOMENT LET’S MAKE
A KITE!
Materials: Paper, 2 Dowel Rods, Tape, Ribbon or String.
Instructions: Spread out the paper and cross the dowels, taping the ends to the paper. Next, fit the string through a small hole in the kite and tie gently to the crossing dowel rods. Finally, fly!

MEALTIME MOMENT 2 LITER ROCKET
Here’s a fun costume idea: Reuse an empty 2 liter bottle and turn it into a rocket pack. Spray paint the exterior or fill with cotton balls or shredded paper, and don’t forget to tape on the flames!


LUNCHTIME CONVERSATION
It’s tough to get kids to open up about their school day. Usually when asked how their day went, kids will say, “Fine” and that’s about it. Want to get your student to open up about how their day really went? Try asking more specific questions, like “which teacher is your favorite so far?” And the opposite, “which class is the one you look forward to the least?”

What can you turn a pinecone into? Use basic materials like construction paper, glue, googley eyes and felt to create your own figure. Maybe it’s an animal, or something totally made up? Let’s get creative and make some unique characters.
